Dreams without works (series: pt. 1)

People are taught from a young age to dream big but rarely are they taught you also have to work equally as hard for it to actually happen. You’ve been lied to. Self help gurus, and for some reason misguided southern baptist preachers, have told you just believe in yourself, have faith and you can achieve all your dreams. If you believe that I want to sell you a star I clearly own. I am going to share something mind blowing with you…if you sleep in, don’t write down a concrete plan and take no action your dream and your faith are as valuable as Monopoly money. Worthless.

Dreams and faith alone are not enough. You can’t just have faith and believe—where is your action? Every company has started with individuals, with ideas and with action. It starts with your will and state of mind. When you don’t take practical steps to build your idea it really translates to your lack of faith to believe in the dream enough to actually do it. Faith and action have a cause and effect relationship. The extent of your faith leads to the intensity of your actions towards your goals. Dreams should inspire your vision to see clearly what your faith will produce through your actions.

Should you dream?

Should you have faith?

YES…but dreams and faith alone are not enough!

We are going to continue to unpack this is subsequent blog posts. Stay tuned…
